Congratulations to one of our accountancy trainees Sophie Plaschke who has been promoted to Senior Accounts Clerk after successfully passing her exams to date and displaying excellent business qualities as she pushes ahead in our in-house accountancy training programme.
Sophie joined Dutton Moore in 2014 after being handpicked from Wyke College to join the in-house accountancy training scheme.
Sophie, now 21, from West Hull, successfully completed her AAT last year and is now working on her ACA accreditation, with her first two professional level exams this June.
She is the latest in years of progressive succession planning at the firm with new school leavers joining every summer. Dutton Moore has a long history of investing in young local talent and we have an enviable in-house training scheme backed up by the professional industry examinations. Scores of our accountants and Partners joined straight from school, college and university and have gone on to forge very successful careers here.
Tony Bullock, Managing Partner, said: “I am delighted to have promoted Sophie to a Senior Accounts Clerk. Sophie has shown real talent and strong progression in the 3-years that she has been with us and I am delighted to reward that. I am certain her accountancy career will continue to flourish as she now deals directly with our clients.
“We are constantly investing in our future. It’s important to stay local and work with local people – we have the talent here and it’s important to harness it. Investing in our city and ultimately in our firm is a priority for us at Dutton Moore. Wherever possible we want to promote within and nurture our top grade staff.”
Sophie added: “I’m really pleased to have been given this opportunity. To be rewarded with promotion for my hard work is fantastic. I took the choice to go straight into the work place and train in-house for my accountancy career instead of going to university. I really feel it has been the best choice for me and my chosen career.”
