This New Year sees two trainees qualify as accountants at one of the largest independent firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Yorkshire.
Sophie Robinson and Jack Cunningham have now qualified as Chartered Accountants at Dutton Moore, one of East Yorkshire's most respected firms in the business community.
The latest qualifications for Sophie and Jack come as Dutton Moore, in Aldgate House, 1-4 Market Place, Hull, forges ahead into the New Year with a busy caseload of accounting, business mergers and buyouts, retirement packages, tax returns, Wills and probate.
Jack, 28, from Cottingham, joined the practice on the in-house training programme in July 2013 after completing his A-Levels at Cottingham High School & Sixth Form College. Sophie, 25, from West Hull, joined in July 2016 from Wyke Sixth Form College. Both have now successfully completed there ICAEW chartered accountancy exams and ACA qualifications.
Sophie is working in the Accounts department for Partner Jonathan Moore and intends to continue with her career progression at the practice. In her 7-years at Dutton Moore she has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the areas of audit, account preparation, bookkeeping and VAT returns. Jack works in Accounts for Partner Christopher Moore, working on audits, accounts preparation and VAT for a wide range of clients.
Jack said: “I am delighted to have reached this milestone in my accountancy career. Coming straight from school and avoiding the University route, I have worked hard to pass my exams whilst gaining practical experience. I look forward to my continuing progression within the practice.”
Sophie added: “I too am so pleased to have qualified. I joined Dutton Moore straight from college, like Jack avoiding the university route. I’m delighted to now be a fully-fledged accountant and have gained lots of practical experience and knowledge along the way. I look forward to developing my career at Dutton Moore even further.”
